Hail and Ride

The Cardi Bach will stop at bus stops along the route and on a ‘Hail and Ride’ basis, so you can be picked up along the route provided it is safe to do so.

Cardi Bach

Serving Coastal Communities in South Ceredigion

The Cardi Bach now operates 6 days a week over the summer period and 3 days a week in winter. From 1st November 2012 it will operate a winter timetable, running on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The service enables people to travel between local towns and villages along the south Ceredigion coast. The Cardi Bach travels along a set route between Cardigan and New Quay and can also collect you from your home or other convenient location within the ‘pick-up’ zone shown on the route plan.Mwnt

You can also use the Cardi Bach to explore the spectacular scenery of Cardigan Bay. Walkers can take a ‘one-way’ journey on the bus and return along the Ceredigion Coast Path which now also forms part of the Wales Coast Path, opened in May 2012.

The bus is a low-floor vehicle for easy access.

Operating period and timetable

  • 16th July to 31st October 2012 – every day except Wednesday
  • 1st November to 31st December 2012 – Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays (excluding 24th December)

How to book a journey

To book your journey in advance you will need contact the bus operator not later than 12.30pm on the day before you wish to travel. Bookings can be made as follows:

Groups are strongly advised to book in advance due to the popularity of the Cardi Bach.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on the Cardi Bach provided they are clean, on a lead and sit on the floor.
