New Cardi Bach

The Cardi Bach is now running again and will continue to run all year round! From 1st November it will operate a winter timetable, running on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Cardi Bach now operates 6 days a week over the summer period and 3 days a week in winter.

Cwm Tydu

The service enables people to travel between local towns and villages along the south Ceredigion coast. The bus travels along a set route between Cardigan and New Quay and can also collect you from your home or other convenient location within the ‘pick-up’ zone which is shown on the leaflet.

Train

The railway network only serves northern Ceredigion. None-the-less the train remains a popular way to reach the coast by public transport from most inland regions.

River Teifi

Stations at Aberystwyth and Borth serve the Ceredigion Coast Path while the Wales Coast Path in northern Ceredigion can also be accessed from Dyfi Junction.

Bus

Aberystwyth can also be reached by long distance bus from Cardiff (701) and from Shrewsbury - Birmingham - London (409).

Frequent long distance buses run along the main coastal road between Cardigan and Aberystwyth (X50 & 550 via New Quay and Aberporth) and on to Machynlleth (X28 & X32). There are also services operating between Aberystwyth and Aberaeron (X40), Aberaeron - Llangrannog - Aberporth - Cardigan (552), Aberystwyth and Borth (512) and between Cardigan and Pembrockshire (405 & 407). Taxi

Cabsafe is a service which enables members of the public to access a mobile telephone text service to receive telephone numbers of approved 'Cabsafe' local taxi and private hire operators within the area they are texting from. Receive telephone numbers of licensed operators direct to a mobile phone by simply texting CAB to 83222.

Cardi Bach

The Cardi Bach is a local bus service that operates between Cardigan and New Quay, linking coastal villages along its route. It offers a stress-free way to enjoy the spectacular scenery of Cardigan Bay and opens up additional opportunities to enjoy the Ceredigion Coast Path. Walkers can take a ‘one-way’ journey on the bus and return along the Coast Path. leaflet
